Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is seeking individuals interested in becoming a Deputy Sheriff.
Candidates must be a citizen of the United States. Must be 21 years of age at the time application is received. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. All applicants must be able to successfully complete a physical "POWER" fitness test, written test, oral interview, psychological test and drug test. Applicants may not have a felony criminal history. Applicant must reside in Montgomery County by the end of the probationary period.
Additional attention will be given to current law enforcement, military veterans and higher education degrees.
All interested individuals must obtain an application from the MCSO in Hillsboro or online at www.montgomeryco.com/index.php/montgomery-county-sheriff-s on the Sheriff's page. The application must be completed and brought to a mandatory orientation meeting. Two meetings will be held at the Montgomery County Historic Courthouse on the 2nd floor in the County Board room on February 27, 2019. Applicants must attend one of the meetings at 10:00 AM or 5:00 PM. All applicants will receive additional information regarding the position and upcoming dates and times for testing.
